Tips for Playing Guitar
Tips for Playing Guitar or other instruments:
1. Practice Practice Practice!! Make it fun! I like to challenge myself...like when my teacher gives me a to do list for the week at my lesson, I really try hard to master it. I especially like when she gives me a new song to play.... I try to learn the whole piece before the next lesson. The Suzuki Motto: "Only PRACTICE on the days that you eat!!"
2. I listen to music on a daily basis!! It is essential for musicians to LISTEN to the music....whether it would be Classical or Rock -N-Roll.....I listen to it all!! Beatles, AC/DC, Led to John Williams, Julian Bream, to Bach & Mozart to Hip Hop: Outkast, Alicia Keys !! .... the list is endless!!
3. Watching others playing the instrument of choice is always a good thing as well... I have gone to concerts like Tom Petty and Carlos Santana , watched videos of John Williams and Andrew York and Eric Clapton just to name a few.
4. Did I mention that Practice makes perfect?? Oh yeah I did!! Just Make it as FUN as possible and never give up your dreams to make things happen.......
